  1. Yeah, a lot of fans had unrealistic expectations. OTOH, it’s been ten years since we last lost four games in a row. If we can get bowl eligible all this stuff will settle. Lots of progress in the last two games, lots to build on.

Defense and special teams still need improvement, for sure.

  2. Gentlemen,
Thank you again for hosting such a wonderful event at Cahaba Brewing Company. I really enjoyed getting to hang with you guys, plus I got to say hello to other Blazer fans I see on other UAB groups.
Such a great time of fun & fellowship with other UAB fans. Hope we can do this again for an away basketball game.
On to the game, that goal line fumble was gutting. The other was the 12 men on the field that gave Tulane a free 1st down when they were punting. I did like seeing Coach Dilfer fired up from this mistake.
I think all these things are good learning points, that hopefully make them a better & winning team for the rest of the season.
FYI we are 1 month from UAB basketball 🏀 preseason game. It will be here before we know it.
Thank you guys again!! I’m so glad Darion got to meet me in person today.
Just Blaze & don’t stop believing.
    Best

  3. Great review fellas. I admit I’m one of those fans who are critical in defeat, but I like to think I’m realistic and can see the improvements.
    Sustains:
    Passing game
    Running game
    Defensive stops
    ST: Fieldgoal kicker has improved
    PENALTIES HAS GREATLY IMPROVED

    Improves:
    Defending the run after halftime
Simple mindfarts: 13 men, fumble at goalline, etc.

I still say it’s a young team, you give a new coach 4yrs to get his players and fully implement their system. Still not sold on DC, but hey it’s improving.

    Great Job on the podcast.
    Be blessed
    Go Blazers
