BIRMINGHAM – UAB received a splash commitment on Tuesday when consensus 3-star QB prospect, Adrian Posse, committed to play for the Blazers.
Posse announced his commitment via Twitter:
Posse originally committed to Auburn in July 2022 but decommitted in January following the coaching change from Bryan Harsin to Hugh Freeze.
Before committing to Auburn, Posse earned reported offers from some of the biggest programs in college football including: Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State and others. His first reported offer came from Texas A&M back in the summer of 2020.
UAB jumped in the mix last month when they extended an offer to the 6’ 5” 225 pound pro-style quarterback. The early evaluations of Posse note his big, physical frame and potential NFL-ready arm.
At UAB, Posse will have the opportunity to develop under former NFL Super Bowl champion quarterback and Elite 11 CEO, Trent Dilfer.
Posse recently announced his intent to transfer from Mater Academy Charter and play his final season of high school football at Northwestern in Miami, Floria.
With Posse’s commitment, UAB now sits at 4 commitments for the class of 2024:
1. Naccari Johnson, 6-3 180 DB from Langston Hughes HS (GA)
2. AJ Miller, 6-4 220 TE from Pickerington HS (OH)
3. Kaiki Baker, 6-3 195 S from Hillsboro HS (TN)
4. Adrian Posse, 6-5 225 QB from Miami Northwestern HS (FL)
